Emergencies

Do you have any of the following symptoms that require emergency treatment? Call 911 or other emergency services immediately.

Seek care immediately if you or someone you know:

Becomes unconscious after drinking alcohol or taking drugs.
Has a history of heavy drinking and has severe withdrawal symptoms, such as confusion and severe trembling. Severe withdrawal symptoms, such as delirium tremens (DTs), can cause death.
Has been drinking and is seriously considering suicide.
Has a seizure.

	Do you think an intoxicated person may need a medical evaluation?
	Are you having withdrawal symptoms after attempting to stop using alcohol or drugs?
	Does your use of alcohol or drugs affect your behavior?
	Do you know or is it possible that you are pregnant?
	Do you depend on alcohol or drugs to help you through the day?
	Do you ever have blackouts while using alcohol or drugs?
